Estate Karanika Xinomavro Old Vines 2018
The Karanika estate, faithful to biodynamic cultivation, vinifies a Xinomavro from pre-deforestation vines aged 60-100 years, taking advantage of the cold climate of Amyntaio, achieving an amazing concentration.
Then it is fermented and matured in 4 ton oak barrels for 12 months and for another 6 months in old French barrels, then it is bottled unfiltered.
On the face we have a deep ruby color.
On the nose we find aromas of dried tomato, plum, olive, sour cherry, with notes of vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper and skin to follow.
In the mouth it is rich, with elegant juicy tannins, pleasant acidity and lasting aftertaste.
