Montelobos Espadin Mezcal 700ml DESCRIPTION A handmade agave project. It's tradition. It's mezcal at its best. Montelobos artesian mezcal is produced in Santiago Matatlan, Oaxaca from 100% wild, certified organic Espadin agaves and bottled in a truly authentically impressive bottle. The process is done by hand, starting from the fields of 100% organic agave which is baked on volcanic stones in the earth and crushed in the traditional way, with the huge volcanic tahona stone. Fermentation takes place in a natural way, in conditions precisely defined by the two men, and no extra yeast is added, which makes Montelobos have such a balanced taste, the distillation is double in copper pot still stills.
Finally, according to tradition, chili peppers are thrown into the fire where the agave is roasted, to ward off evil spirits. For this reason and in addition to the elements of smoke and wood, green and baked agave, pepper and vanilla that it brings to the taste, in the perfectly balanced finish one will also detect tones of chili and dark chocolate. On the nose one will find anise, banana, pineapple, asparagus and tobacco.
